SCALE MODELS
Traditionally, scale models are used in theatre to offer a glimpse of the final set well before final construction. This allows the actors to envision their on-stage performances during the rehearsal process, and the production departments are afforded a peek into what their final product will look like. No amount of technical or artistic renderings would be able to convey the subtleties and nuances otherwise present in the scale model.
Where possible, these examples are presented alongside performance photography.
